Es una banda de thrash metal originaria de Los Ángeles, pero con base en San Francisco desde febrero de 1983. Fue fundada en 1981 en Los Ángeles por el danés Lars Ulrich y James Hetfield, a los que se les unirían Lloyd Grant y Ron McGovney. Therion
Therion es una agrupación sueca de Symphonic metal fundada por su principal compositor Christofer Johnsson en el año 1987. La palabra theríon (θηρίον), extraída del Libro de la Revelación, significa «bestia» en griego. Sin embargo, los miembros de la banda han declarado que el nombre es un tributo al álbum To Mega Therion, de Celtic Frost.
